Based in Toronto, Georgian's team brings together software entrepreneurs, machine learning experts, experienced operators and investment professionals.
We're looking for an enthusiastic communicator and creator to join our Marketing and Growth team as an intern. In this role you'll work to enhance Georgian's brand in the tech community by driving the distribution of Georgian's content, managing our social media channels and creating social content. You will report to our Head of Marketing and collaborate with teams across Georgian, including R&D, People Operations, and several others.

What you'll be doing

• Managing Georgian's daily posts and interactions across our social media channels to drive engagement with Georgian's brand and increase our total audience.
• Creating original social content, including graphics, audiograms, videos and gifs.
• Writing Georgian's three newsletters to engage our audiences of software entrepreneurs and investors.
• Maintaining Georgian's website, helping to publish our blogs and podcasts and learning the tools we use to do this.
• Editing videos and creating graphics using Georgian's brand guidelines.
• Measuring, optimizing and reporting on the performance of our distribution efforts.
• Working on other projects as needed to broaden our audience and content distribution.
• Supporting the marketing and growth team and the broader Georgian team to help them with their marketing needs.

You're a good fit for the role if you are:

• An exceptional writer and creator.
• Excited about creating content that starts conversations and drives engagement with software entrepreneurs and their teams.
• A balance of right brain and left brain. You approach problems with a creative mindset, but consult the strategy and the data first to focus your thinking.
• A bit of a technology nerd. You love the startup scene and follow emerging technologies like—AI, quantum computing and VR—and wonder how they'll change our futures.
• Working towards a degree in or a recent graduate in Journalism, Marketing, Science/Engineering or Business or experienced in working in startups and have an understanding of SaaS business models.
• No experience with specific software is required. We will teach you Hubspot, Wordpress and others.
